Different use of ointments
Hello everyone, I would like to ask you some questions about the treatment of eczema in children and adolescents.
From my own experience, I have used and been prescribed dozens of different ointments and only one worked.
Is this also your experience or was it an instant success?
Hi, there @Eczemaway - It really is a matter of trial and error. I did not find a good ointment for years to treat my skin. Was it an instant success? This depends on how you define success. Did my eczema clear up straight away once using it? Absolutely not. Did I immediately feel comfort from applying the ointment to my skin? Yep! The final thing that made me realize this was the cream for me was that after it would dry on my skin I never felt like I needed to apply loads and loads of it to re-moisturize. With other creams and lotions, they would either irritate me or my skin would feel ten times dryer after use. I hope this helps! Thanks for posting this question. Pete, Moderator
