Mother Anxiety – My Son Has Severe Eczema

My 8 year old son has severe eczema. It’s so upsetting to see him go through this. We have tried everything to help his skin.

Today we were in once again to see his skin dr. So we are going to do a patch test to see maybe if he’s allergic to all the creams & ointments seems how nothing is working 🙁

We are also going to go see a dermatologist.

Looking for natural healing

Has anyone ever tried the light therapy?? That’s my next step.
I did forget to mention that I am a mother who really tries the all natural ways. If anyone has any advice, I would gladly hear!!!

Do you care for someone with eczema?

Have you tried Kefir Goats Milk? It has helped me a lot. It tastes a bit strange for an 8 year old but you can flavour it. You can buy it ready made or make it yourself. I suggest you look on line at chucklinggoat.co.uk
Sugar is my worst enemy but a natural alternative is xylitol.
There are videos on line which teach you how to make kefir milk, it’s very easy.
There is a lot of information on the Chuckling Goat site about eczema, which is well worth reading thoroughly and trying their suggestions as far as food is concerned.

    Best wishes

I have tried every cream, lotion, etc. and nothing seemed to help. My regular doctor recommended using Dove unscented and Cetaphil lotion. The next day the detmstitis on my face was gone. I couldn’t believe it!

Hi @toni, my heart is hurting right now for your son and his severe eczema 🙁 Raising a child with eczema can be super challenging, so I commend you for coming here and so openly sharing about your struggles. I’m sharing some links to articles about natural healing (https://atopicdermatitis.net/alternative-treatment-options/) and light therapy (https://atopicdermatitis.net/phototherapy/) which might be of interest as you explore natural methods of treating his eczema. -Sarah (AtopicDermatitis.net Team Member)
