How do you keep hands moisturized from constant washing and sanitizing?

Constant washing and sanitizing can leave hands dry and cracked, especially for people with eczema.

  1. Also use latex free gloves at home anytime hands to be in water. But, still break out and itch miserably. Have tried using thin latex free gloves with the heavier latex free clothes. Sometimes even anticipating having gloved hands in water causes increased anxiety and dread about hands itching and hurting. Past 2-4 years unable to take care of cleaning the way I'm used to doing. Am ridiculed by a family member.

    1. That is a bummer that even latex-free gloves haven't helped, . I've heard that cotton-lined gloves or wearing cotton gloves on the inside can help? I'm saddened to hear that on top of your difficulties with cleaning, your family isn't supportive. That's the last thing you need when you're struggling. Know that many here can relate to your experience. I am linking an article that talks about cleaning and how hard it can be for those with skin conditions: https://atopicdermatitis.net/living/cleaning-causes-eczema-flare.
