AD & Pain

  • By Brenna18

The first thing I do is take a quick, cool shower and immediately apply a steroid cream and tons of moisturizer afterward. I then will keep a cold compress on the burning/painful areas and take Benadryl and Advil. I have to keep myself distracted so that I don’t think about the pain.

      Hi Brenna18,

I’m so glad you’ve found these helpful ways to manage the pain of your AD. Taking a cool shower then applying steroid creams and lotions is certainly part of a good skin care routine. Utilizing cold compress on particularly painful areas and taking Benadryl and Advil are also great suggestions. Many others have said that trying to keep themselves distracted helps too. I’m happy you’ve found what helps you get through the bad days, this is important to remember for when those days do come up.

Thank you so much for sharing this with the community!
