Dupixent and pregnancy

Hey, my names kim and
I have suffered with atopic dermatitis / eczema all my life.
A while ago I started dupixent and it completely cleared my skin, I started this a few months after my son was born in 2020. So since then me and my partner have been trying for a baby, however it’s not been going great.. I have this thought that dupixent is causing something to go wrong so I am looking for some similar stories.. has this happened to anyone or is anyone pregnant who are currently on dupixent?
Please help!

  1. hey Kim, congrats on clearing up. I too am still on dupixent and felt like I've had a joint flare up with higher uric acid count. Not sure if dupixent is related to this but the side effects started around the same time and certainly been suspecting it. I'm supposed to come off of dupixent soon, as i have a blood test this coming tuesday and then plan on starting this oral drug called Rinqov i think. Anyway, just wanted to share with you my odd unknown but possible side effect from Dupixent.
Good luck on your pregnancy. : )

    1. Hi @Kims- thanks for getting in touch. Firstly, I'm really glad that Dupixent was able to get your eczema cleared. Regarding your concerns with usuing Dupixent or Dupilumab as it's otherwise known, when trying to get pregnant, the data is not known. Sarah Harris is an eczema patient who writes for the National Eczema Association says this, "New drugs can change patients’ lives for the better, but they also raise new questions. Dupilumab has not been tested in pregnant women (though a corresponding antibody has been tested in pregnant monkeys, whose baby monkeys did not experience adverse developmental affects)." I hope this helps. Best, Pete (AtopicDermatitis.net Team Member)
