Eczema and Comorbidities

What other conditions do you live with in addition to atopic dermatitis?

  1. I was amazed at the options listed on the Community Poll. I live or suffer from all the options except ADHD and other neurological disorders.

    1. The survey question only allows for one of the choices. With my lifelong eczema I have had bacterial skin infections, allergic eye conditions (conjunctivitis) asthma & seasonal , food & environmental affects. Now that I have used a light box (phototherapy to calm the skin) take Dupixent shots, use Symbicort, extra strength saline nasal spray, Asterlastine nasal spray, Flutacasone Propionate nasal spray, Singulair, Claritin D, zyrtec & Prednisolone AC 1% ey drops, Pataday eye drops , Restasis eye drops, Refresh eye drops and have gone through 5 years of allergy shots, I am almost eczema free. However due to pollen season I had eczema on my eyelids. It never really ends. The triad of eczema, asthma & allergies are always waiting for an opportunity to re-imerge!

      1. overweight, anxiety, depression, scalp eczema, insomnia

        1. wow, that is a lot to be living with. Sending hugs! It's interesting how for so many of us living with eczema, there are so often other comorbidities. Many of the health challenges you have listed, like to team up together. As if it's a party and they all want to be there. Like they just don't give you a break. I know that when I am feeling anxious my eczema gets worse, that keeps me up at night, and it becomes a vicious cycle. For me, discovering mediation and incorporating exercise into my routine, really makes a big difference on my overall health. What sort of things do you find help you when you're struggling? Chava B. 2. Neurological disorders (Epilepsy)
