Hi Zsuzsa,
This is a great inquiry! Eczema can in fact occur on the scalp. Though scalp eczema is most common among infants and young children, adults can have eczema on their scalp too. If you're interested, we do have a piece about the common areas that atopic eczema affects for each age group: https://atopicdermatitis.net/affected-areas/.
Several adults in our community have said that they've experienced eczema on their scalp, and have found this to be a particularly difficult area to treat. If you or someone you love is experiencing eczema-like symptoms on the scalp, I would encourage you to talk to your doctor before pursuing treatment. This can be a delicate area and you want to protect your hair.
We thank you for posting your question here, and hope this helps! Please keep us posted on your situation.
Take care,
Sarah (AtopicDermatitis.net Team Member)
