Triamcinolone acetonide cream 1% not working

I have dermatitis. I used triamcinolone acetonide cream 1% my dermatology gave it last year. I broke out last week and i still have it. How do you get rid of it. Suppose to have to see another dermatology may 10 so i can get a patch test.

  1. triamcinolon actually works well for me.
There's an ointment version and a cream version. Although I do well with both, I feel like the ointment version spreads more. Just a little greasy, but I think it's slightly better for me.
Sorry for the lack of help here. Hope you get better soon. Remember to eat enough fiber to get rid of what you eat and get plenty of rest. Stress on the body is a big eczema culprit for me.

    1. Hi - really sorry you are experiencing this. How often have you been using this cream? For instance, my doctor advises me to use twice a day for my eczema and if i stop using it or cut down too early I find that the eczema returns quickly. Perhaps you could speak to your primary carer about other meds you could use. You might find this discussion in one of our forums about what people do to counter the itch https://atopicdermatitis.net/forums/stop-itch-tips . I wish you the best and let us know how you get on!
