eyebrow waxing vs plucking?

I usually tend to get my eyebrows waxed but I hadn't in more than a year. About 2 weeks ago I gave it a go and my eyebrows after became extremely dry, irritated, and then started peeling.

Prior to this I didn't have any problem with waxing. Anyone see a difference when they get their eyebrows just plucked?
