Atopic Triad Allergies SclerEdema & Mucinosis

I was born with Atopic Triad, Eczema, Rhinitis & Asthma. Endured Atopic March for 40+ years. Attention gotten in early 2019 with brief periods of tingling and inflammatory symptoms in feet, lower legs, right side then chest. Chest symptoms repeated & became chronic in April/2020, & since then has extended including neck & entire head. Cardiological, Neurological, Diabetical, Psychological issues completely ruled out. Most physicians are unaware of SclerEdema. Well renowned rheumatologist in Miami, Florida, confirmed SclerEdema diagnosis as of 05/23/24, but needs time to study this disorder attributed to me, in its severe state. No indication on epidermis. Dermis & Subcutaneous Biopsies show excessive mucin. Sensations of spasms, rigidity, tightness & clumping in chest including activities on/near internal organs. Pain level usual at approximately 3 to 5. Flare-ups (not trigger) can reach levels of 7 to 8. At the time of this letter being May 30th, 2024, my SclerEdema / Mucinosis symptoms’ pain is at 7. In need of emergency care.

I was told that there are no protocol for emergency doctors to treat discomforts from Mucinosis related SclerEdema. In case of an emergency, seeking contingency treatments, comments, & advisement in maintenance and control of pains relating to SclerEdema Mucinosis conditions.

  1. Hi, Evrismitchell, . You are contending with so much, and it is so frustrating to feel like doctors aren't able to provide the support you need. I am hopeful that if anyone in our eczema community has had any experience similar to yours, they will chime in here. Wishing you a peaceful weekend. All the best, Sam S. (team member).
