My atopic dermatitis

I suffer all in my hair, face, eyelids, and inside my ears. It's very embarrassing. I can't go outside or to the food store. It stops me in my tracks people look and ask me why I wear a sunhat all the time. I have tried everything under the sun already. When I went to a dermatologist, he gave me steroids, which burnt my skin. Then I also got cradle cap in my hair; I had never had that before in my life. I want to look beautiful again, but nothing is helping me. I spend so much money on stuff to help my face and hair nothing is helping I am ready to give up and I am feeling very sad.

  1. Hi I hear how difficult things have been for you with your eczema. You are absolutely not alone in struggling with this and our community gets it. We aren't allowed to provide specific medical advice (for your safety) and we aren't professional counselors but you might find some of these articles helpful: https://atopicdermatitis.net/mental-health/coping-general-resources and https://atopicdermatitis.net/emotional-impact and https://atopicdermatitis.net/living/hear-coping-eczema Wishing you a peaceful day All the best, Sam S. 1. I’m really sorry you’re going through this. Dermatitis—especially when it’s at its worst—can feel relentless, both physically and emotionally. The discomfort, the visibility of it, the way it interferes with daily life….

You mentioned that you've tried everything (which is many people's experience). I don't know if this will be helpful to you, but have you found anything that works best? If so, using it early can have a better impact.

This is an article about how dermatitis can worsen your skin barrier over time (and therefore become harder to treat). There are also plenty of blog articles that might help you on this site.
